BIGBANG Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Electrifying Performance at Coachella
On April 13, at 2:30 PM local time, BIGBANG took the stage at Coachella's Outdoor Theatre for a one-hour live performance. The group, consisting of members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, kicked off their set with the hit song 'BANG BANG BANG,' followed by crowd favorites 'FANTASTIC BABY' and 'SOBER.'
The performance took a turn with a ballad rendition of 'Tears,' and an orchestral arrangement for 'LOSER,' 'Haru Haru,' and 'Lies,' creating a grand atmosphere. The latter part of 'Lies' featured an arrangement that retained the original rhythm, engaging the audience further.
BIGBANG's performance was characterized by their unique style, as they opted for a more free-spirited stage presence rather than the typical synchronized choreography seen in other K-pop acts. The members interacted with the audience, shouting "Coachella" and encouraging participation.
G-Dragon greeted fans, saying, "BIGBANG is back. Let's sing together," while Daesung expressed excitement for their first Coachella appearance. Taeyang encouraged fans to sing along, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
The performance also featured solo and unit stages. Taeyang performed 'RINGA LINGA' shirtless, and G-Dragon delivered 'POWER' in a striking outfit. The duo also performed 'GOOD BOY' together.
The trio reunited for 'HOME SWEET HOME,' 'Come Be My Lady,' and 'WE LIKE 2 PARTY,' resonating with fans who have followed them since the 2010s. As the performance neared its end, the crowd chanted for an encore.
G-Dragon hinted at more group activities, thanking fans watching from Korea and promising an exciting 20th-anniversary celebration.
The performance concluded with 'Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter,' featuring T.O.P's voice, adding a poignant touch as the members paused to let the audience focus on his part.
Alongside BIGBANG, groups like Cats Eye and SHINee's Taemin represented K-pop at Coachella 2026.
