Actress Park Yoo-na Joins 'RUN for the MOON' Campaign as Ambassador to Support Women in Need
Park Yoo-na has been appointed as the ambassador for the 7th 'RUN for the MOON' campaign organized by the international development cooperation NGO, 'G Foundation'.
'RUN for the MOON' is a virtual charity run taking place on May 28th, in honor of 'World Menstrual Hygiene Day'. The event aims to assist women in vulnerable groups who struggle to afford sanitary pads due to financial difficulties. The funds raised through this event will be used to provide sanitary products and improve hygiene facilities for women in need both domestically and internationally. As an ambassador, Park Yoo-na will actively promote the campaign's noble cause and encourage public participation.
Park Yoo-na expressed her motivation for joining the campaign, stating, "After learning about past incidents like the 'insole sanitary pads', I felt saddened by the reality that many women still lack access to basic hygiene products. I decided to participate in this campaign." She added, "I hope everyone can join in this campaign from their own place, running together and participating in sharing."
In the photos released with the announcement of her ambassadorship, Park Yoo-na exudes her signature bright and healthy energy, wearing the official purple T-shirt. From tying her shoelaces in preparation for the run to holding a completion medal with a radiant smile, she captures the spirit of warm support for those in need.
Meanwhile, Park Yoo-na, who debuted in the drama 'Cheer Up!', has showcased her unique character portrayal skills in 'My ID is Gangnam Beauty', 'SKY Castle', 'Hotel Del Luna', 'True Beauty', and 'Police University'. With her recent work 'Spirit Fingers!', she continues to demonstrate a wide acting spectrum. Through her role as an ambassador, Park Yoo-na once again proves her healthy and positive influence.
The 7th 'RUN for the MOON' campaign registration opens on the official website starting at 11 AM on the 20th.
