TVXQ's Yunho Faces Criticism in Audition, Secures Hollywood Role

TVXQ member and actor Yunho recently faced criticism during an audition.

On the 6th, a video titled 'Heading to Hollywood? Yunho's Journey' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Vivo TV - Im Hyung-jun's Acting Castle'.

In the video, casting director Chris, who was looking for an Asian gang role in a Hollywood film, asked Kim Eui-sung for recommendations of Korean actors. Kim Eui-sung revealed, "I recommended Yunho."

Yunho, who had just returned from the U.S., stated, "I finished my tour in LA and arrived early this morning." Kim Eui-sung smiled proudly at his junior's thoughtfulness, noting, "He never comes empty-handed."

Yunho was then asked to perform an impromptu acting scene, which he accepted willingly. He delivered an exaggerated performance, saying, "Do you like wearing a wedding dress? Do you like getting married at a hotel? Do you like him more than me? You said I was your favorite in the world," causing laughter.

Casting director Chris, observing the performance, privately told Kim Eui-sung and Im Hyung-jun, "I didn't expect this level of condition. He seems off," expressing concern over Yunho's acting skills.

In light of the casting setback, Kim Eui-sung suggested Yunho try a 'Jeolla dialect' performance, saying, "Just because he's Korean-American doesn't mean he has to speak standard Korean." Yunho delivered a short but impactful performance, saying, "Aren't you being nice with your eyes? Open them nicely," which impressed everyone.

Chris then stated, "I sent the test video. There shouldn't be any issues with confirmation," deciding on Yunho's move to Hollywood. Celebrating the confirmed Hollywood opportunity, Yunho joined hands with Kim Eui-sung and Im Hyung-jun, expressing their joy.

Meanwhile, the YouTube channel 'Vivo TV' features 'Acting Castle', a 100% fictional mockumentary series planned, directed, and written by actor Im Hyung-jun, with Kim Eui-sung starring.
