Safety Fence Collapse at Super Junior Concert in Seoul Injures Fans

A safety fence collapse during a Super Junior concert led to injuries among fans.

On the 5th of this month, Super Junior held a concert at the KSPO DOME in Seoul to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

Towards the end of the concert, the members moved around the audience to greet fans. As Ryeowook approached the audience, fans surged towards the fence, causing it to collapse under the weight. Some fans fell from the stands to the first floor as a result.

SM Entertainment stated, "A safety fence installed by us next to the audience collapsed, causing three fans to fall and sustain injuries." The agency added, "The injured were immediately taken to the hospital for necessary examinations and treatment. Medical professionals have advised two weeks of rest and treatment for sprains and bruises."

They continued, "We deeply apologize to the affected fans and their families. We will support the injured fans in their recovery and make every effort to ensure their full recovery." Additionally, they acknowledged, "As the concert organizer, we feel a heavy responsibility for this incident and will ensure thorough safety inspections and audience safety management to prevent similar incidents in the future."
