Former rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae married a non-celebrity finance professional, nine years her senior, in 2022 and welcomed a son in February 2024. After retiring, she now runs a rhythmic gymnastics academy. In November 2023, it was revealed that she and her husband purchased a standalone house in Itaewon, Seoul, for 7.2 billion KRW, drawing public attention.

Son Yeon-jae's husband is reportedly the CEO of Ulysses Capital, a family office based in Los Angeles, USA. The company is known as a global hedge fund that managed over 2 trillion KRW in assets with its proprietary account as of the first quarter of 2021.
