Actress Hwang Shin-hye recently reflected on her long-standing friendship with Ahn Jae-wook.

On November 1st, Hwang shared several photos on her Instagram with the caption, "❤️Catching up with Jae-wook after a long time.."

The photos reveal Ahn Jae-wook appearing as a guest on a show where Hwang is a regular. Hwang described Ahn as "always fun, cheerful, and comfortable... a friend who remains the same."

She also reminisced, "It's been 20 years since we met as a couple in the drama 'Match Made in Heaven.'"

Born in 1963, Hwang Shin-hye debuted as an actress in 1983 through MBC's 16th open recruitment. She retired from the entertainment industry after marrying the son of a fashion company CEO in 1987, but returned to acting in the film 'Gagman' after divorcing nine months later. She remarried a second-generation chaebol three years her junior in 1998, had a daughter named Lee Jin-yi in 1999, and divorced in 2005.

Ahn Jae-wook, born in 1971, is 54 years old. He was caught twice for DUI in 2003 and February 2019, resulting in license suspensions and a halt in his activities. After the 2019 incident, he paused his career as a form of self-reflection but faced criticism for returning to theater just two months later, with some saying it was "too soon."
