Korean Actor Lee Sang-bo Passes Away: Agency Requests Privacy for Family
On the 27th, KMG released an official statement saying, "We regret to inform you that our actor Lee Sang-bo has passed away." The agency added, "We ask for your understanding as we cannot disclose the cause of death at the family's request."
They further stated, "The funeral will be held in Room 3 at Pyeongtaek Central Funeral Home, but we kindly ask for your cooperation in refraining from visits or media coverage to protect the family's privacy."
According to the Pyeongtaek Police Department, Lee Sang-bo was found deceased at his home the previous day. The police have ruled out any criminal activity and are investigating the exact circumstances of his death. Currently, all posts on Lee Sang-bo's social media accounts have been deleted.
Born in 1981, Lee Sang-bo debuted in 2006 with the KBS 2TV drama 'Invisible Man Choi Jang-soo.' He appeared in various works, including 'The Golden Age of Daughters-in-Law,' 'Bad Love,' 'Private Lives,' 'Miss Monte-Cristo,' 'Elegant Empire,' and films like 'Secretly, Greatly' and 'Mephisto.'
In 2022, he was arrested on drug charges, but it was later confirmed that the substances were related to his prescribed depression medication, leading to a dismissal of charges. He signed with a new agency last year.
