Comedian and Singer Yoo Jae-pil Parts Ways with FNC Entertainment After 6.5 Years
Comedian and singer Yoo Jae-pil has confirmed that he ended his contract with FNC Entertainment by mutual agreement at the end of last year, after being with the company for six and a half years. Yoo is currently continuing his career in the entertainment industry independently, without being affiliated with any specific company.

According to TenAsia's investigation on the 20th, Yoo Jae-pil officially parted ways with FNC Entertainment on December 31st of last year. As a gesture of gratitude, Yoo reportedly gifted a coffee truck event to the hardworking staff at FNC, showing his appreciation for the company that was his first in the industry.

On the 20th, Yoo Jae-pil expressed to TenAsia, "I am very grateful for the full support I received from FNC. I hope there will be another opportunity to work together in the future."

FNC Entertainment plans to conclude its variety and broadcasting management operations by May as part of a business restructuring strategy aimed at accelerating future growth. Since 2021, FNC has seen a reduction in its variety and broadcasting management division, with notable entertainers like Yoo Jae-suk, Song Eun-i, and Ji Seok-jin departing. FNC intends to gradually wrap up its management operations in the coming months.

Currently, Yoo Jae-pil is managing his entertainment activities independently, handling tasks such as driving, makeup, and responding to inquiries without a manager. He showcases his versatility as a multi-entertainer by working as a professional MC, running his YouTube channel, and appearing on variety shows. Recently, he gained attention for his professional hosting skills at fan showcases for Netflix's 'Cashier' and 'Monthly Boyfriend.'

Meanwhile, FNC Entertainment recorded a consolidated revenue of 102.4 billion KRW in 2025, marking a return to the 100 billion KRW revenue range for the first time since 2017. Following its business restructuring, FNC is focusing on strengthening its revenue base around core businesses such as music, drama production, and actor management.
