2AM's Jeong Jinwoon Shares Heartwarming Moment with Director Jang Hang-jun Ahead of 'Rebound' Re-release
On the 17th, Jeong Jinwoon posted several photos on his social media with the caption, "Time to rebound again?"
In the photos, Jeong is seen wearing sunglasses, resting his chin on his hand, and smiling while seated on a restaurant terrace.
Notably, beside him is director Jang Hang-jun, famous for directing the film 'The Man Living in the King', who joins Jeong in the photo, sparking interest. Jang, dressed casually in a hoodie and sunglasses, sits next to Jeong, laughing heartily. Another photo shows the two enjoying a leisurely moment by the riverside, basking in the sunlight.
Jeong Jinwoon and Jang Hang-jun first connected through the 2023 film 'Rebound', directed by Jang. 'Rebound' tells the miraculous true story of the Busan Joongang High School basketball team, which reached the finals with only six players. Jeong played one of the basketball team members in the film.
Distributor Barunson E&A announced that director Jang, who rose to fame with 'The Man Living in the King', will see his previous work 'Rebound' re-released in theaters nationwide on April 3rd. Jeong Jinwoon's post appears to be part of the promotional efforts for the upcoming re-release of 'Rebound'.
Upon the release of the post, fans expressed their excitement with comments like "A movie of a lifetime", "So glad to hear about the re-release", and "Can't wait for 'Rebound' to gain more recognition".
Meanwhile, 'Rebound' initially recorded a modest 690,000 viewers upon its release but received critical acclaim from audiences. With the success of 'The Man Living in the King', there is anticipation that 'Rebound' might redeem its past performance with the re-release.
