WINNER's Song Min-ho Faces Criticism for Attending Movie Premiere Amid Military Service Controversy
WINNER's Song Min-ho, who is facing trial for alleged violations of military service laws, made an appearance at a movie premiere.

According to an online community on the 14th, Song Min-ho attended the VIP premiere of the film 'Method Acting' at Megabox COEX in Seoul on the 13th. He was reportedly there to support actor Lee Dong-hwi, with whom he shares a close friendship, while wearing a hat and mask.

Song Min-ho is accused of failing to report for duty for 102 days without a valid reason while serving as a social service agent. The Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office indicted him without detention on December 30 of last year.

His first trial was initially scheduled for the 24th of this month, but it has been postponed to the 21st of next month following a request for a delay from the defendant's side.

According to the prosecution's charges, Song Min-ho was absent for approximately 25% of his total service period while working at a facility in Mapo-gu. It is reported that he admitted to most of the charges during the investigation.

Under the current Military Service Act, evading service for more than eight days without a legitimate reason can result in a prison sentence of up to three years. His attendance at an external event amid pending legal judgment has drawn criticism from both inside and outside the industry as inappropriate behavior.
