Psychiatrist and TV Personality Yang Jae-woong Faces Further Investigation Amid Legal Troubles
According to a report by a media outlet on the 9th, this information was communicated to the victim's family via a 'Criminal Justice Information System Notification' message on the 6th.
The request for further investigation into charges of professional negligence resulting in death has been issued to Yang Jae-woong and seven other hospital officials involved in the trial.
In addition to the demand for further investigation, Yang Jae-woong is also facing charges of violating the Mental Health Promotion and Welfare Services for Mental Patients Act, the Medical Service Act, and the Emergency Medical Service Act.
It has been reported that the victim's father has lost vision in one eye due to stress.
Meanwhile, Yang Jae-woong was scheduled to marry singer and actress Hani in September 2024. However, the news of a patient's death at the hospital where Yang serves as director emerged, coinciding with the couple's wedding announcement, leading them to postpone their wedding plans.
Yang Jae-woong's hospital has been ordered to suspend operations until March 31. Hani is set to star as the female lead in the upcoming KBS2 weekend drama 'Love is Coming,' airing in August.
