Lee Seo-jin Takes on First Theater Role in 27 Years with 'Uncle Vanya'
Lee Seo-jin recently announced his participation in the play 'Uncle Vanya', produced by LG Art Center and directed by Son Sang-kyu, generating significant interest. The first script reading session, held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, has been revealed.
'Uncle Vanya' is a classic masterpiece by the great Russian author Anton Chekhov and remains one of the most frequently performed plays worldwide. It tells the story of ordinary people like 'Vanya' and 'Sonya', who have dedicated their lives to their family and its order, only to find their lives shaken when they deviate from their daily routines.
Lee Seo-jin stated, "It is true that I had long deliberations before taking on the theater stage, but I decided to participate as it seemed like a meaningful new challenge. I want to show the audience my own version of Vanya through diligent practice. I am focusing solely on rehearsals," expressing his determination for 'Uncle Vanya'.
Lee Seo-jin's theater debut, 'Uncle Vanya', will be performed from May 7 to 31 at the LG Art Center Seoul, LG SIGNATURE Hall.
