Korean Actress Ko So-young Showcases Her Luxurious Shoe Collection in $124 Million Home

Korean actress Ko So-young recently gave fans a glimpse into her luxurious lifestyle by showcasing her impressive shoe collection in her $124 million home.

On October 6, Ko So-young uploaded a video titled 'Exploring Ko So-young's Shoe Collection' on her YouTube channel. In the video, she introduced her favorite shoes from the entrance of her lavish home, valued at approximately $124 million. Most of the shoes displayed were sneakers. Ko reminisced, "I used to love high heels, even running and dancing in them," but admitted her taste in footwear has changed over time.

Ko explained, "Once you get used to wearing flats, it's hard to go back to high heels. I feel unstable and afraid of falling when I wear them." She humorously added, "At our age, if you fall, your bones don't heal as easily."

Ko also shared her criteria for choosing shoes, stating, "I tend to wear one pair for a long time and buy them half to a full size larger. I prefer shoes that I can slip on easily without using my hands."

She mentioned her husband, actor Jang Dong-gun's habit of cleaning shoes frequently, including hers, as a way to relieve stress. "He's a shoe expert and knows a lot about collaborations and brands, but I'm not into that," she added.

While introducing her winter footwear, Ko revealed, "I need my neck, stomach, and feet to be warm," explaining her preference for fur-lined shoes and boots. She recounted a recent incident where she twisted her ankle in a pair of heeled Uggs, prompting a scolding from her husband.

Despite her preference for comfortable shoes, Ko still keeps her collection of high heels, noting, "I have a daughter, Yoon Seol, so I keep them for her. But once her feet outgrow mine, I'll probably get rid of them," she joked.

Ko also flaunted a vintage Hermes pair she inherited from a friend, saying, "With what I have now, I feel like I won't need to buy shoes for the rest of my life."

Ko So-young and Jang Dong-gun reside in 'The Penthouse Cheongdam (PH129)' located in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul. This apartment is known as the most expensive in South Korea as of 2024, with notable residents including golf legend Park In-bee and math instructor Hyun Woo-jin. Last year, BTS's V made headlines by purchasing a unit for approximately $107 million.
