Korean broadcaster Jang Sung-kyu has expressed a unique wish for director Jang Hang-jun's film.

On October 4th, Jang Sung-kyu shared on his Instagram, "Finally watched 'The Man Living with the King', and now I'm obsessed with Danjong," along with several photos.

The photos show Jang Sung-kyu attending a screening of the film 'The Man Living with the King'. Notably, he captured a scene where director Jang Hang-jun mentioned his bold promise if the film surpassed 10 million viewers before its release. Jang Hang-jun had humorously pledged to change his phone number, name, undergo plastic surgery, and even change his nationality.

As the film's viewership surpassed 9.21 million, Jang Sung-kyu commented, "Director Jang's promises are no ordinary ones, and 10 million is just around the corner," adding, "I'm concerned because he's a man who keeps his word." He humorously wished, "I hope the viewer count stops at 9.99 million to protect him."

Meanwhile, 'The Man Living with the King' is set in 1457 Cheongnyeongpo and tells the story of village chief Eom Heung-do, who voluntarily exiles himself for the village's prosperity, and young dethroned king Lee Hong-wi living together. The film has resonated with audiences across generations and is on the verge of reaching 10 million viewers.
