Actress Choi Gyu-ri Parts Ways with Chorokbaem Entertainment
According to a report by TenAsia on the 5th, Choi Gyu-ri's exclusive contract with Chorokbaem Entertainment will expire early this month. Choi debuted with the company and gained recognition through her work there. Currently, she is busy wrapping up filming for a drama and is expected to find a new agency soon.
The project Choi is working on is KBS 2TV's new miniseries 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri.' The series is a heartwarming family reboot drama about the urban family of Seong Tae-hoon, who strive to return to Seoul from the rural 'Yeonliri.'
Choi Gyu-ri plays the role of Im Bo-mi, the only daughter of Im Joo-hyung (played by Lee Seo-hwan) and Nam Hye-sun (played by Nam Kwon-ah). She is a spirited character who has taken care of Yeonliri since childhood in place of her irresponsible father. As a nutritionist, she ensures the students' meals and plays a vital role in maintaining the village's health. Additionally, she is set to develop a romance with Lee Jin-woo in the series. 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' is scheduled to premiere on the 26th.
Meanwhile, Chorokbaem Entertainment represents other talents such as Yoo In-na, Lee Sang-yi, Han Ji-hyun, Choi Min-a-su, and Kim Min-seol. The company is a leading drama production house in South Korea, known for its popular intellectual properties and diverse content creation under its parent company, Chorokbaem Media.
