Born in 1983, Ahn is a graduate of the Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, with a master's degree in conference interpretation. She previously worked as a journalist for SBS. Ahn married Rhymer, the CEO of Brand New Music, in 2017, but the couple parted ways in November 2023. Despite the divorce, she remains active in her professional and personal endeavors.
