Reality Show Star Yousik Jo Addresses Controversial 'Couple Ring Incident' on YouTube

Yousik Jo, a contestant from the popular South Korean dating show 'Transit Love 4,' has finally spoken out about the much-discussed 'couple ring incident' that occurred during the show.

On October 25, a video titled 'Yousik from Transit Love: No More Avoiding' was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'kiu기우쌤.' In the video, Yousik receives a styling session from hairstylist and YouTuber Kiu (real name Lee Sung-kyu) while revealing behind-the-scenes details from 'Transit Love 4.'

Kiu directly asked, "The couple ring you wore with someone who wasn't your ex became a hot topic. Did you actually wear it during conversations?" Yousik, visibly uncomfortable, closed his eyes and explained, "I remember wearing it during a morning date with another female contestant but took it off immediately after returning. I believed it was inappropriate to wear it in the house."

However, Yousik hesitantly added, "I probably wasn't wearing it, but I can't remember clearly." He further stated, "I do recall thinking I shouldn't wear it inside the house."

Yousik also revealed that the workshop date wasn't the contestants' idea. He explained, "We went out for a date, only to find ourselves at a place where we made couple rings."

Previously, it was revealed that Yousik and his former partner, Min-kyung Kwak, ended their eight-year-long relationship, which drew significant attention. Their conflict, especially after the female contestants' 'X' selection date aired on the 24th of last year, became a talking point.

The video also captured a heated debate between Yousik and Min-kyung about whether he wore the couple ring with another female contestant. Min-kyung questioned, "You're wearing a couple ring? While I'm here? Does that mean the person you met for a week is the same as me?" Yousik replied that they weren't the same, to which Min-kyung tearfully responded, "You don't usually wear rings. You dislike accessories. But you wore a couple ring?"

Yousik graduated from Daejeon Arts High School with a major in dance. He is currently active as an influencer and dancer. Although he ended up as a final couple with Hyun-ji Park on the show, they are reportedly no longer together.
