Chef Choi Kang-rok Discusses Hair Loss on YouTube Show After Winning 'Black and White Chef' Season 2
Chef Choi Kang-rok, who recently won Netflix's variety show 'Black and White Chef' Season 2, appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel of webtoon artist-turned-YouTuber, Calm Man, to discuss hair loss.

On the 24th, the YouTube channel 'Calm Man' released a video titled 'An Intensely Breathless Interview with Choi Kang-rok.' In the video, Calm Man opened the conversation by saying, "It's been a while since we last met on 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,'" and asked about Choi Kang-rok's life after winning 'Black and White Chef.'

Calm Man notably asked, "Back on 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,' you mentioned the 'bald eagle.' Is your hair loss progressing?" This drew attention, and Choi Kang-rok humorously replied, "My hair isn't as strong as it was when I was younger. When I wake up, my hair sticks to my head like seaweed." He added, "Even if I use mousse to give it volume, it falls flat shortly after."

Calm Man empathized with Choi Kang-rok's hair loss concerns, saying, "Mousse tends to clump together and lift the hair, but it makes the crown look sparse. So, I just live with it as it is." He then humorously asked Choi Kang-rok, "Can I touch your hair?" and remarked with a surprised expression, "Seaweed is a local specialty," eliciting laughter.

When Calm Man asked why he was nicknamed 'bald eagle,' Choi Kang-rok explained, "The eagle reference came up during filming, and it just stuck. Now, I'll correct it to 'local specialty seaweed,'" he replied with humor.

Previously, in April last year, Chef Choi Kang-rok appeared on JTBC's variety show 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' and humorously admitted, "My nickname is actually bald eagle," when asked if he wore hats due to thinning hair, bringing laughter to the audience.
