Hong Jin-kyung Opens Up About Life Post-Divorce and Her Unique Take on Happiness
On the 14th, the YouTube channel 'Al-ddal-ddal Han Chamgyeon' released a video titled 'Eldest Sister Hong Jin-kyung Appears, Unpredictable Talk Begins'.
In the video, Hong Jin-kyung captivated the audience with her bold and straightforward talk. She described her relationship with her juniors, saying, "We are more like friends than seniors and juniors." She specifically mentioned her relationship with Jo Se-ho and Nam Chang-hee, noting, "They call me morning, noon, and night if I seem unwell," drawing attention.
She continued, "I don't pay for drinks when I meet my juniors. I deliberately hold back from paying," adding, "I don't think it's healthy for the senior to always pay." She even joked, "I pretend to be asleep when it's time to pay at the second round," eliciting laughter.
Amidst the light-hearted atmosphere, serious topics were also discussed. When asked about her thoughts on breakups, Hong Jin-kyung firmly stated, "Not hearing the reason for a breakup is the hardest. It drives a person crazy."
She added, "Hearing the reason, no matter how harsh, is better than not knowing. It's strange to suddenly lose contact and end a relationship without knowing why."
Hong Jin-kyung continued, "People don't know what makes them happy. Whether it's having money or being healthy, there's no definite answer. Happiness needs a standard. I've set mine low. If the outcome is better than my standard, that's happiness; if it's below, that's unhappiness."
Meanwhile, Hong Jin-kyung announced her amicable divorce last year after 22 years of marriage, and she has a daughter named Rael.
