Rising Star: Kim Eui-young Tops Popularity Poll Among Female Trot Singers

Kim Eui-young has been voted as the most popular rising female trot singer.

From October 12 to 18, TenAsia conducted a poll asking, 'Who is the most popular rising female trot singer these days?' Kim Eui-young claimed the top spot.

Kim Eui-young made her debut as a trot singer after finishing in the TOP 5 on TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 2' in 2020. In May of last year, she released her fourth single 'STARTrot PART.1', produced by Kim Hyung-seok. The title track 'Do Whatever You Want' is a bright and lively dance trot song that showcases Kim's refreshing charm.

Singer Kim Yang took second place. Kim Yang debuted in the music industry with her single 'Don't Cry' in 2008 and gained public recognition after appearing on TV Chosun's 'Tomorrow's Miss Trot' in 2019. She is known to be friends and colleagues with singer Jang Yoon-jeong.

In third place is singer Kim Da-hyun, who will hold her first solo concert on November 7. Last month, she released her third studio album 'Black Swan'. The title track, 'Black Swan', written and composed by Kim Da-hyun herself, is a dance song with an EDM rhythm and K-POP sensibility.

Currently, on the Top Ten TenAsia website, polls are being conducted on topics such as 'Which male singer would you like to go on a walk date with?', 'Which female singer would you like to go on a walk date with?', 'Which male trot singer would you like to go on a walk date with?', and 'Which female trot singer would you like to go on a walk date with?'
