Comedian Kim Jun-hyun Faces Backlash Over Alleged Disregard for Fans
Recently, a video capturing Kim's commute to work has circulated across multiple online communities, sparking allegations that he ignored his fans. The footage, recorded on the 10th, shows Kim entering the KBS2 studio for the recording of 'The Seasons - 10cm's Touching'.
In the video, Kim is seen receiving an umbrella from his manager on a rainy day while checking his phone as he moves into the building. Some fans waiting at the scene greeted him with phrases like "A-mood-da Band Kim Jun-hyun," "Hello," and "Fighting," but Kim only glanced at them with a neutral expression and continued walking without further acknowledgment. However, once inside, he greeted broadcast staff with a bright smile, bowing and shaking hands, presenting a contrasting demeanor.
Some netizens expressed disappointment, pointing out the difference in his attitude towards fans and staff. They criticized his apparent disregard for fans' greetings and his seemingly entitled acceptance of his manager's assistance, which they felt contradicted his usually humble image on TV.
Conversely, others argued that the backlash was excessive, noting that it is unfair to judge someone's character based on a brief 20-second clip. Some netizens observed that Kim did slightly nod in acknowledgment and suggested that he might not have been fully aware of his surroundings due to the circumstances, urging caution against hasty judgments.
Kim Jun-hyun is currently appearing on several variety shows, including KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' and Comedy TV's 'Delicious Guys'. He is also expanding his activities as a member of 'A-mood-da Band', alongside Hong Kyung-min, Jo Young-soo, Cha Tae-hyun, Jeon In-hyuk, and Jo Jung-min, having released their first digital single 'You Know' on the 13th.
