Baek Ji-young and Jung Suk-won Reveal Why They Sleep in Separate Rooms

Korean singer Baek Ji-young has revealed that she and her husband, Jung Suk-won, sleep in separate rooms.

On October 14, Baek Ji-young's YouTube channel featured a video titled 'The Shocking Reason Why Baek Ji-young ♥ Jung Suk-won Couple Sleep in Separate Rooms.'

In the video, Baek Ji-young and Jung Suk-won visited their favorite restaurant in Pocheon. Baek Ji-young mentioned, "We've been coming here frequently for the past 4-5 years. I even choose nearby golf courses just to eat this," drawing attention.

While ordering Baek Ji-young's recommended menu, Jeolla Province native Jung Suk-won confidently expressed his love for 'hongeo' (fermented skate) and encouraged, "Give it a try today." However, Baek Ji-young hesitated, saying, "I can't enjoy the smell of samhap (a dish combining hongeo, pork, and kimchi) right now."

During the meal, Jung Suk-won observed Baek Ji-young constantly using scissors to cut kimchi and commented, "She doesn't let me do anything. She doesn't allow me to assemble or make things." Baek Ji-young replied, "I feel satisfied when I do it myself. I think I can do it really well." Jung Suk-won added, "You seem to be trying too hard," and attempted to take over the scissors, but his clumsy cutting led to Baek Ji-young taking them back.

Jung Suk-won humorously shared, "Recently, I had an inflammation near my nose and asked her to gently prick it with a needle, but she pressed so hard that my face almost shifted," revealing Baek Ji-young's bold touch.

As they finished their meal, Baek Ji-young attempted hongeo for the first time but grimaced. Jung Suk-won encouraged, "Keep eating it. You'll start craving it by the second bite," but Baek Ji-young admitted, "I tried breathing through my mouth to avoid the smell, but it hit me hard," showing her struggle.

Jung Suk-won expressed his love for hongeo, saying, "I don't even want to give it away," and jokingly suggested to Baek Ji-young, "We should kiss today." Baek Ji-young, holding her nose, eventually embraced her smelly husband, causing laughter. When the production team asked, "Aren't you sleeping separately tonight?" Baek Ji-young confessed, "We usually sleep separately."

Meanwhile, Jung Suk-won shared his current status, saying, "I weigh 91kg now. I was 81kg when I first appeared on YouTube, but I gained weight for a project. I eat three to four meals a day, balancing carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. I need to lose it again." Jung Suk-won was previously charged and legally penalized for drug use overseas in 2018 and has since resumed his activities.
