Actress Jeon Jong-seo Registers Her Company for Entertainment Planning After Nearly 4 Years

Actress Jeon Jong-seo has recently registered her company for entertainment planning, nearly four years after its establishment.

According to the entertainment industry on the 10th, Jeon Jong-seo registered her corporation, Summer Co., Ltd., which was established in June 2022, for entertainment planning on the 4th of this month. This registration comes approximately 3 years and 8 months after the company's founding.

Jeon Jong-seo is listed as the representative of the corporation, while her boyfriend, director Lee Choong-hyun, is registered as an internal director. The company is focused on the production and development of film and drama content, as well as actor management.

Under the current Act on the Development of the Public Culture and Arts Industry, it is mandatory to register with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism or local governments to operate an entertainment management business. However, Jeon Jong-seo's company only recently completed the necessary registration for entertainment planning, which is required for management operations.

In response, her agency, Andmark, explained to multiple media outlets that "Summer was not established for management purposes but as a company for content planning, development, and production." They further clarified, "At the time of the corporation's establishment, the business scope was broadly listed, including management-related items, but there was no practical operational plan, so the need for separate registration was not recognized."

The agency stated that the reason for the delayed registration was due to "recently raised issues, prompting a review and correction of the procedures." They also emphasized that "this is unrelated to the recent tax evasion controversy involving one-person agencies."

Meanwhile, Jeon Jong-seo recently appeared in the film 'Project Y.' The movie tells the story of Mi-seon and Do-kyung, who, while dreaming of a different tomorrow in the heart of a glamorous city, find themselves at the edge of life, stealing black money and gold bars. Jeon Jong-seo has been publicly dating film director Lee Choong-hyun for five years.
