Ong Seong-wu Renews Contract with Fantagio Amidst Controversy
On the 9th, Fantagio announced, "We have renewed our contract with actor Ong Seong-wu after deep discussions based on trust and faith. We will provide full support to ensure Ong Seong-wu, who has limitless potential, can continue to engage in diverse activities."
Earlier, on the 6th, Ong Seong-wu personally shared the news of his contract renewal with fans through his fan cafe, garnering attention. He stated, "After long deliberation and discussions, I decided to continue with my agency and proceeded with the contract renewal."
He added, "There are still many things I want to achieve with the family who have worked hard with me. I plan to spend the time until I leave the nest in this familiar place, not a new one," and expressed his gratitude, "I will grow into a wonderful person with the support and love of my fans, 'WeRo' (Ong Seong-wu's official fan club name)."
Ong Seong-wu made his debut in JTBC's 'At Eighteen,' showcasing impressive acting skills for a newcomer, which brought him recognition. He proved his potential as an actor by winning rookie awards at the '2019 Korea Drama Awards' and the '2019 Asia Artist Awards.'
Since then, Ong Seong-wu has been active in various projects, including the films 'Seoul Vibe' and 'Life is Beautiful,' and dramas 'More Than Friends' and 'Strong Woman Kang Nam-soon.' Last July, he made his theater debut with 'Shakespeare in Love.' Additionally, Ong Seong-wu has established himself as a singer by releasing multiple albums.
Meanwhile, Ong Seong-wu is set to hold a fan meeting titled 'ONG LAND' in Wuhan, China, on the 7th of next month, continuing his active engagements both domestically and internationally.
