Former AOA Member Kwon Mina Reveals Medical Malpractice Incident During Skin Treatment
On the 27th of last month, Kwon Mina posted on her Instagram, "I wish I could turn back time. What is happening right before something good..." along with two photos.
In the photos, Kwon Mina is seen smiling brightly inside a car, showcasing her flawless skin, which caught the attention of many.
Fans, unaware of the situation, left supportive comments like "It's okay, good things are coming," and "Better things are ahead." However, since the post was made three days after the medical incident, it is presumed that Kwon Mina was expressing her feelings post-accident.
On the 8th, Kwon Mina disclosed on her Instagram that she had undergone a 600-shot sleep Shurink lifting procedure to look prettier due to many appointments from late January to February. However, she woke up to excruciating pain and found her facial skin burned.
The attached photos show Kwon Mina's cheeks and part of her neck turned red. She stated, "It's a second-degree burn, and about 10% of my face is burned."
Kwon Mina lamented that precious opportunities were lost as she could no longer expose her face, leading to the cancellation of scheduled events. She also expressed that the incident caused not only financial loss but also mental anguish, leading to panic attacks.
According to Kwon Mina, the hospital denies negligence during the procedure, attributing the cause to a 'defective device tip.' She claims, "The hospital has not checked basic procedures like consent forms since last month," and "(The doctor) insists on treatment at a non-specialized burn hospital."
Kwon Mina sought an amicable settlement, but with the hospital demanding a 'legally appropriate amount,' the settlement has effectively fallen through, and she is now preparing for civil and criminal lawsuits. She expressed her exhaustion, stating, "I've been a victim in a case that's been in court for over four years, and now I have to go through another lawsuit," but added, "Receiving a fair legal judgment seems less unfair."
