Actor Kim Seon-ho Faces Tax Evasion Allegations Amidst Mixed Advertising Industry Reactions
Allegations of tax evasion surrounding actor Kim Seon-ho have sparked rumors of an advertising industry boycott, but no widespread boycott has been confirmed. While some reports suggest advertisers are dropping him, responses vary by brand.

According to a TenAsia investigation on the 6th, cosmetics brand Imelly ended its contract with Kim Seon-ho on October 31, unrelated to the controversy. The contract naturally concluded as the predetermined period ended.

Health supplement brand Nutrididay will maintain its contract with Kim Seon-ho. Nutrididay signed a one-year exclusive model contract with him last summer and plans to continue using him as their advertising model until the contract ends. There are currently no plans for adjustments related to the allegations.

In contrast, fashion brand Beanpole has made the '2026 Spring Collection Teaser Video' featuring Kim Seon-ho private. Although the exact reason was not disclosed, industry insiders believe the tax evasion allegations influenced this decision.

Despite the spread of boycott rumors, multiple industry sources stated, "While individual brand adjustments may occur, there is no widespread 'advertising industry boycott' against Kim Seon-ho."

Previously, Kim Seon-ho faced allegations of tax evasion related to the establishment of a one-person corporation and its accounting structure. It was alleged that the corporation was registered at his Yongsan, Seoul residence, with family members listed as executives receiving salaries, and that he used the corporate card for personal expenses.

Kim Seon-ho's representatives explained, "While there were past settlements with the former agency, the corporation is no longer operational, and administrative closure procedures are in the final stages."

Meanwhile, Kim Seon-ho will continue his activities by appearing in the play 'Secret Passage,' which opens on the 13th.
