Choi Dong-seok Shares Update After Lawsuit Dismissal with Ex-Wife Park Ji-yoon

Choi Dong-seok, 47, recently shared an update on his Instagram story following the dismissal of a lawsuit involving his ex-wife, Park Ji-yoon, 46.

On November 5, Choi posted a photo with the caption, "Lowest weight recently. Is it a raw beef and sirloin diet?" The image showed a scale reading 76.6kg, suggesting a weight loss after the lawsuit dismissal, raising concerns among his followers.

Previously, on October 27, the Jeju District Court dismissed both Park Ji-yoon's lawsuit against Choi's acquaintance, A, and Choi's lawsuit against Park's acquaintance, B, for damages related to alleged infidelity. The court found it difficult to recognize any infidelity or hold either party liable for damages based on the evidence presented.

The legal battle began in July 2024 when Park filed a lawsuit against A, followed by Choi's lawsuit against B in September of the same year. The court combined the cases, and both parties denied the infidelity allegations.

Neither party has appealed the dismissal of the lawsuits. However, disagreements over asset division and the cause of the marriage breakdown remain, leaving the outcome of the upcoming divorce proceedings uncertain.

Choi and Park, both former KBS announcers, married in 2009 and have a son and a daughter. They separated in October 2023 after 14 years of marriage and are currently undergoing divorce proceedings. They have filed for divorce mediation at the Jeju District Court, with the case set to resume in April.

Park has secured custody and parental rights of their children, while Choi has visitation rights, allowing him to meet his children two days a week.
