Fantagio Clarifies Eunwoo Cha's Family Restaurant Relocation Amid Tax Evasion Allegations
Fantagio, the agency representing Eunwoo Cha, has issued a statement regarding the relocation of a restaurant previously operated by Cha's parents.

On the 4th, Fantagio stated, "The currently operating 'Ojeoyeon Cheongdam' is a completely different entity from 'Ojeoyeon Charcoal Grilled Eel' in Ganghwa Island. 'Ojeoyeon Cheongdam' is operated by 'Fantagio M,' a 100% subsidiary of Fantagio."

Recently, claims surfaced that the eel restaurant 'Ojeoyeon Charcoal Grilled Eel,' previously run by Cha's parents in Ganghwa Island, was relocated and reopened under the name 'Ojeoyeon Cheongdam' in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at the end of last year. This led to speculation that the move was related to Eunwoo Cha's alleged 20 billion won tax evasion, prompting the relocation.

Meanwhile, Eunwoo Cha, currently serving in the military, became the center of controversy after it was revealed that he underwent a rigorous tax audit by the Seoul Regional Tax Office last year. He was reportedly notified of a tax penalty amounting to 20 billion won, marking the largest tax levy ever imposed on a celebrity.
