K-POP DEMON HUNTERS' Theme Song 'Golden' Makes History at the 68th Grammy Awards
The theme song 'Golden' from Netflix's animated film 'K-POP DEMON HUNTERS' is making waves across the music and film industries, sweeping major global awards.

On the afternoon of the 1st (local time) in Los Angeles, 'Golden' was announced as the winner of the 'Best Song Written For Visual Media' category at the 68th Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony. This award is presented to the songwriters, and the honor was shared by writer EJAE, producers Teddy and 24, and composers Idio (Yoo-han Lee, Joong-kyu Kwak, Hee-dong Nam).

While there have been previous Korean winners like audio engineer David Young-in, Soundmirror Korea's CEO Hwang Byung-joon, and soprano Sumi Jo, this marks the first time a K-pop songwriter and producer have won a Grammy.

'Golden' also clinched the Best Original Song award at the 31st Critics' Choice Awards and the 83rd Golden Globe Awards.

The song's chart performance is equally impressive. It topped the US Billboard Hot 100 for eight consecutive weeks, becoming the first K-pop song by a female artist to achieve this feat. This widespread popularity has been a key factor in its award success.

'Golden' is also vying for the 'Song of the Year' award at the main Grammy ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Additionally, it is a strong contender for the Best Original Song category at the upcoming 98th Academy Awards in March. With its Grammy and Golden Globe wins, the industry is watching closely to see if it can achieve an 'EGOT' status by adding an Oscar to its accolades.
