Park Ji-hoon Expresses Desire to Serve in Special Forces or Marines
On the 27th, Park Ji-hoon, the lead actor of the film 'The Man Who Lives with the King,' was interviewed at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul.
'The Man Who Lives with the King' tells the story of King Danjong, the 6th king of Joseon, who was dethroned and exiled to Yeongwol, and the village chief of his place of exile. Park Ji-hoon plays the role of the exiled King Danjong, Lee Hong-wi.
When asked if he would consider enlisting as a military cook, he firmly replied, "Absolutely not." He continued, "I want to go to a really tough place. It might sound strange or even perverse, but I want to serve in UDT, special forces, or marine reconnaissance. I've thought since I was 20 that if I'm going to serve, I might as well go somewhere challenging to learn and experience something. I'm a huge military enthusiast," he laughed.
Park Ji-hoon was also a member of the group Wanna One, formed through the audition program 'Produce 101' Season 2. During the audition, Park Ji-hoon became a sensation with his 'Save you in my heart' charm. With news of Wanna One reuniting for a reality program seven years after their debut, Park Ji-hoon will be engaging with the public not only through films but also through the Wanna One reality show.
'The Man Who Lives with the King' is set to premiere on February 4th.
