Danielle Cries Over NewJeans: "Fought to the End"
On the afternoon of the 12th, Danielle engaged with her fans for about nine minutes through a live broadcast on her personal social media platforms, including YouTube. This marks her first public appearance since the termination of her contract.
Opening with "Hello Bunnies" (the fandom name), Danielle appeared emotional, shedding tears at the beginning of the broadcast. She expressed gratitude to her fans, saying, "This moment of greeting feels unfamiliar. Saying 'thank you for waiting' is not enough. Bunnies have remained in their place."
She mentioned reading letters from fans and reflected, "I have learned a lot and had to protect many things over time. My perspective on family and the world has changed." She added, "The gazes and memories from the stage are what sustain me now."
Danielle also expressed her frustration about the situation surrounding her. She stated, "I fought to the end to be with the members. The truth remains with me," emphasizing, "NewJeans is always in my heart. This is not the end."
However, she refrained from discussing the specifics of the ongoing legal disputes. Danielle noted, "Many things are being sorted out right now," and promised, "When the time comes, I will share everything about the lawsuit and what you are curious about."
She concluded the broadcast by saying, "I want to share the days ahead truthfully and beautifully," and wished, "May your days be filled with light."
Previously, ADOR notified Danielle of the contract termination at the end of last month, citing her failure to rectify a breach of contract within the given timeframe. Subsequently, ADOR filed a lawsuit against Danielle, her family, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, seeking approximately 43.09 billion KRW in penalties and damages.
