ADOR Terminates Contract with NewJeans' Danielle, Hanni Returns
On the 29th, ADOR released an official statement regarding Danielle's departure from NewJeans and Hanni's return to the group.
Danielle will be leaving NewJeans. ADOR stated, "We have determined that it is difficult for Danielle to continue as a member of NewJeans and as an artist under ADOR. Therefore, we have notified her of the contract termination today. Additionally, we plan to hold a family member of Danielle and former representative Min Hee-jin legally accountable for causing this dispute and delaying NewJeans' activities."
In contrast, Hanni is set to return to ADOR. The agency explained, "Hanni visited Korea with her family and engaged in deep conversations with ADOR over an extended period. Through this process, they reviewed past events and objectively assessed the situation. After sincere discussions, Hanni decided to respect the court's ruling and continue with ADOR."
The decision regarding Minji's return is still pending. ADOR mentioned, "Minji is also in discussions with ADOR, and we are continuing talks to broaden mutual understanding."
Previously, on the 12th of last month, ADOR officially announced the return of members Haerin and Hyein. ADOR stated, "After careful consideration with their families and thorough discussions with ADOR, the two members decided to respect the court's ruling and adhere to their contracts."
Following the announcement of the two members' return, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle expressed their intention to return through their legal representatives. They stated, "After careful deliberation, we have decided to return to ADOR. One member was in Antarctica, which delayed communication, but due to ADOR's lack of response, we decided to announce our position separately."
ADOR has stated that they are "verifying the sincerity" of the three members' intention to return. The agency is currently "scheduling individual interviews with the members" and has engaged in discussions with Minji, Hanni, Danielle, and their families.
