BTS's RM Expresses Frustration Towards HYBE, Hints at Major 2026 Plans
BTS leader RM has candidly expressed his feelings towards their agency, HYBE.

On October 21, BTS held a group live broadcast on the fan community platform Weverse. Discussing their activities for the upcoming year, RM stated, "Let's make 2026 the year of BTS. Something big is coming," with J-Hope echoing, "2026 is an important year for us."

When J-Hope remarked, "I can't believe 2025 has already passed," Jimin shared, "This time period is the hardest." RM then made a poignant comment, "I wish our company would show us a bit more affection." When Jin, the eldest member, responded, "But aren't they working hard on various things?" RM replied, "I'm not sure. I don't usually say things like this, but I just wish they would embrace us a bit more," expressing his disappointment towards the agency.

Previously, during a live broadcast on October 16, BTS members also expressed their frustration regarding their full group comeback. They said, "We want to move on to next year quickly," and "The time feels too long." RM added, "I'm so tired of 2025. I'm going crazy wanting to come back quickly," and "I really hate this year's end. I can't say how much preparation has been done, but when will HYBE announce the comeback date? I wish they would announce it sooner." Jimin agreed, "The time feels longer than expected, which is frustrating." Suga calmly continued, "They said there would be an announcement soon."

RM also revealed that he had deeply contemplated the future of the team. He shared, "I wondered countless times whether it would be better to disband or pause the team," but added, "The reason we continue is because of the love among the members and the love and respect for our fans."

RM further mentioned, "I've heard a lot of questions about why we let the second half of 2025 pass by without doing anything," and "We didn't want to waste time, and I wanted to be active after my military discharge." However, he noted, "There were reasons for not being active in the latter half, but I don't have the authority to disclose everything."

He continued, "Our last concert was in October 2022, so it's been over three years without a performance. The desire to be on stage is genuine," but added, "As time passes, many things have changed, and preparation is necessary. Personally, the pressure is significant, and the ongoing preparation is frustrating."

Meanwhile, BTS has completed their military service hiatus with all members discharged this year. They are currently preparing for a full group comeback, aiming for March next year.
