Actor Lee Yi-kyung has issued a stern warning regarding recent 'private life rumors,' vowing to 'catch the suspect.' Following Lee Yi-kyung, comedian Jo Se-ho has also been embroiled in a 'gangster involvement rumor,' causing a stir in the entertainment industry with these unverified claims.

Lee Yi-kyung made this statement at the '2025 Asia Artist Awards (AAA)' ceremony held on the 6th. This was his first public appearance since the 'private life rumor' controversy emerged on October 19. At the ceremony, Lee Yi-kyung received the 'AAA Best Choice Award.'

What caught more attention than his award was his acceptance speech. Taking the microphone, he began, 'I don't know if this is the right thing to say,' and continued, 'The suspect is sending emails of apology and seeking leniency,' adding, 'I will definitely catch them.'

The rumors about Lee Yi-kyung's private life surfaced in mid-October when a female netizen claimed to have exchanged inappropriate messages with him, posting an exposé online. As the controversy grew, the accuser apologized, stating it started as a simple joke but gained unexpected attention. Lee Yi-kyung's side filed a lawsuit against her for spreading false information and defamation. However, the accuser recently changed her stance, claiming her initial statement was true, leaving the issue unresolved. As a result, Lee Yi-kyung stepped down from the show 'Hangout with Yoo.'

Jo Se-ho is dealing with unexpected rumors of gangster involvement. It began when a netizen posted a photo of Jo Se-ho with a large man on their social media on the 5th, claiming the man is a key figure in operating illegal gambling sites. Allegations also surfaced that Jo Se-ho promoted the man's franchise and received expensive gifts.

The netizen's social media features a cake photo with the message 'Congratulations on becoming a prosecutor.' The netizen uses the name 'Prosecutor Pyo' to refer to themselves, but observers doubt the netizen is an actual prosecutor. Claims that 'the prosecution and police are investigating my personal information' also lack credibility. An expert commented, 'Given the circumstances, the allegations against Jo Se-ho are likely untrue.'

Jo Se-ho's agency, A2Z Entertainment, stated, 'Jo Se-ho and Mr. Choi (the large man in the photo) are merely acquaintances,' and added, 'The allegations of receiving money or expensive gifts from Mr. Choi are nothing more than speculation. They are unfounded.' The agency further mentioned, 'We are considering legal action for defamation and obstruction of business.'
