Actress Hwang Bo-ra Shares Shocking Parenting Experience After Son's Birth
On the YouTube channel 'Working Mom Lee Hyun-yi,' a video titled 'Hilarious and Painful Parenting Stories from New Moms Hwang Bo-ra & Lee Eun-hyung [Working Mom Gathering EP4]' was released on the 6th.
In the episode, Lee Hyun-yi invited her peers, Hwang Bo-ra and Lee Eun-hyung, both born in 1983. Hwang Bo-ra, married to actor Cha Hyun-woo for four years, is currently raising a 17-month-old son. Lee Eun-hyung, married to comedian Kang Jae-joon for nine years, is a mother to a 15-month-old son.
Hwang Bo-ra revealed her plans for a second child, saying, "I want a daughter, but the thought of IVF is daunting. The injections can cause facial breakouts and weight gain," she confessed.
Discussing siblings, Hwang Bo-ra expressed, "Being an only child, I'm worried about my son being alone. I felt lonely and had no one to rely on." She continued, "After marriage, I felt more secure, but when I was single, I feared having to take care of my aging parents alone."
In response to Lee Hyun-yi's comment that "18 months is a parenting crisis," Hwang Bo-ra lamented, "My son has always been in crisis. It's like a constant wonder week. Now he's in the 'I won't do it' phase."
She also shared a shocking revelation, "When my son was born, they said he had four nipples, a condition called supernumerary nipples. They usually disappear at birth, but his didn't. They warned that if they grow due to hormones, he might need surgery later. I was shocked by this."
