Actress Hwang Bo-ra recently faced unexpected challenges during a family trip to Hawaii with her 16-month-old son.

On the 25th, Hwang Bo-ra's YouTube channel 'Hwang Bo-ra Variety' released a video titled 'Why Traveling to Hawaii with a Baby is Dangerous - Reality Parenting Despair, Hawaii Home Tour.'

In the video, Hwang Bo-ra shared, "We went on a family trip to Hawaii, invited by my brother-in-law. It was our first time visiting Hawaii with Woo-in since our prenatal trip. It wasn't easy, but it was very happy."

This was the first Hawaiian trip with her 16-month-old son, Woo-in. Hwang Bo-ra explained, "Babies can fly for free until they are 24 months old. We didn't have much time left, so we only bought tickets for my parents and us. But a friend advised, 'You can't do that. You need a ticket for the baby,' so we quickly bought one for him."

Her husband, Cha Hyun-woo, showed his meticulous nature by packing barley tea for the baby. Hwang Bo-ra admired, "He's an amazing dad." She added, "I've been to Hawaii over ten times, so I had no expectations. My brother-in-law (Ha Jung-woo) has a house there, allowing us to enjoy it at minimal cost."

However, the trip was not without its difficulties. Her son struggled to sleep at the right time, and she was anxious about disturbing other passengers if he cried. Hwang Bo-ra lamented, "I couldn't even eat the expensive in-flight meal." In Hawaii, she was shocked by the rising costs, spending $300 at just one grocery store.

Her son Woo-in suffered from a high fever. On the first night, he had an unexplained mild fever, prompting Hwang Bo-ra to say, "It's an emergency now," with a worried expression. The next day, they visited a Korean hospital as his fever spiked to 39 degrees Celsius. The doctor diagnosed him with severe tonsillitis, noting multiple abscesses.

Unlike her cheerful demeanor upon arriving in Hawaii, Hwang Bo-ra became quiet. Cha Hyun-woo gently asked, "How do you feel about taking Woo-in and your parents on this long trip?" Hwang Bo-ra reflected, "Bringing a 16-month-old on such a long journey was my selfish desire. I feel sorry for my son and family." Cha Hyun-woo comforted her, saying, "We still have five days left. Let's finish it well."
