Na Young-seok to Proceed with 'Three Meals in Kenya' Press Conference Amidst Mourning for Late Actor Lee Soon-jae
According to Netflix's 'Three Meals in Kenya', the press conference will take place as planned at 11 AM. Attendees will include producers Na Young-seok and Kim Ye-seul, along with cast members Lee Soo-geun, Eun Ji-won, and Kyuhyun.
The news of Lee Soon-jae's passing early on the 25th had cast doubt on whether the 'Three Meals in Kenya' event would proceed. It's common in the entertainment industry to cancel or postpone events following such news, especially given Na Young-seok's past collaboration with the deceased actor on 'Grandpas Over Flowers'.
The 'Three Meals in Kenya' team stated, "We express our deepest condolences on the passing of actor Lee Soon-jae. Our scheduled event will proceed without changes. During the event, the cast will pay their respects to the late actor."
According to the family, Lee Soon-jae passed away early on the 25th at the age of 91. A memorial has yet to be arranged. Concerns about his health had been circulating since last year, both within and outside the entertainment industry.
Lee Soon-jae was the oldest active actor, known for his unwavering dedication to his craft across television, film, and theater. He remained active until recently, appearing in the play 'Waiting for Godot' and the KBS 2TV drama 'Dog Sound'. With 'Dog Sound', he became the oldest recipient of the Grand Prize at the KBS Drama Awards last year.
