Japanese Woman Charged with Assaulting BTS's Jin Claims Innocence
A Japanese woman in her 50s, identified as A, who has been charged with forcibly assaulting BTS member Jin, has claimed her innocence.

According to Japan's TBS News on the 19th, A, who is facing charges of forced molestation, expressed her frustration, stating, "I am upset. I never thought a kiss would be considered a crime." The media outlet reported this statement, citing an investigation official.

Previously, on the 12th, the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office indicted A without detention on charges of forced molestation. A is accused of unexpectedly kissing Jin on the cheek during his fan meeting 'Free Hug' event held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, in June last year.

Following the incident, some of Jin's fans filed complaints through the National Sinmungo, requesting an investigation into A for molestation in a crowded public place.

The police initially suspended the investigation in March, anticipating a prolonged inquiry. However, they resumed the investigation after A re-entered the country, eventually forwarding the case to the prosecution.
