Shin Dong-yup Discusses Rumors Involving Kang Ho-dong and Actress on YouTube Show

Shin Dong-yup recently brought up a rumor involving Kang Ho-dong and an actress on his YouTube channel 'Jjanhanyoung Shin Dong-yup.'

On the 17th, singer Jeon In-kwon and comedian Kim Jun-hyun appeared on the channel.

Jeon In-kwon shared his connection with Shin Dong-yup, saying, "I saw him recently when I appeared on 'Immortal Songs.' We met at a hotel, and he generously gave my granddaughter some pocket money."

Their first meeting was unique. Shin Dong-yup had invited Jeon In-kwon to perform at his high school festival. Jeon In-kwon expressed his fondness, saying, "A clever friend came to see me. I thought he was really smart and destined for greatness. His sincerity just shone through."

Shin Dong-yup reminisced about 25 years ago when he had to take a year off from broadcasting due to marijuana charges. He recalled, "I went to a Deulgukhwa concert at the Seoul Arts Center. Jeon In-kwon suddenly called me up on stage, introducing me as his beloved younger brother."

Jeon In-kwon added, "At that time, Dong-yup had marijuana charges, but he handled it gracefully. He joked, 'If I've matured this much after one stint in jail, imagine how mature that hyung is after four.' It was very amusing."

Shin Dong-yup explained how Deulgukhwa gained popularity through word of mouth and mentioned, "There were many rumors back then. Just yesterday, I had a drink with Kang Ho-dong, and there was a rumor that he had burst an actress's chest."

Kim Jun-hyun expressed interest, saying, "Since it's Ho-dong hyung, people might think 'it's possible.'" Shin Dong-yup continued, "Imagine how unfair it was for the actress involved in the rumor. She later appeared on 'Tray Karaoke' and clarified, saying she was grateful and had never even met Kang Ho-dong."

Shin Dong-yup further explained, "Later on 'Sponge,' they conducted an experiment showing that silicone doesn't burst, even under a truck, proving the rumor was baseless. It was a time when romance and barbarism coexisted."

Meanwhile, Jeon In-kwon shared a story about meeting a thief in jail who boasted, "I'm skilled, so I don't do robberies." Jeon gave him his home address, challenging him to rob his house after release. The house was indeed robbed, with a note left saying, 'I took everything.' Jeon reflected, "I realized how different things can be in the same time frame. That's how the hit song 'Round and Round' was born."
