K-Pop Star Lee Hyori Shares Humorous Wedding Dress Story and Makeup Insights

K-pop icon Lee Hyori recently shared a humorous anecdote about her wedding dress.

On October 15, the YouTube channel 'Hong's MakeuPlay 홍이모' released a video titled 'Honest Makeup Reviews with Hyori Episodes 7-10.'

In the video, Lee Hyori addressed negative feedback on her previous 'Couch Review' segment, jokingly asking, "Did I get a beating? Why? Just for talking?" She added, "If you want to become a star by talking, you have to talk well," drawing attention with her candid advice.

During the 'Just Makeup' review, Lee Hyori stated, "I respect the makeup artist's opinion as much as possible. Even if I'm unsure, I watch until the end and ask, 'Is this okay?'"

Watching 'Team First Man' win, she expressed, "People might think, 'She was only good in the past.' I don't work as much these days, but that doesn't mean my skills have diminished."

Reflecting on the makeup video of the final winner 'Paris Gold Hands,' Lee Hyori commented, "He said he collects things even if he doesn't use them immediately." She reminisced, "The orange T-shirt I wore for my 'Ten Minutes' debut was bought at a vintage shop in Paris when I was filming 'Fort Boyard.'"

Regarding her much-talked-about wedding dress, she revealed, "I bought it on the street during a trip to Ubud, thinking 'I'll wear it someday,' and it became my wedding dress." It is known that she purchased the dress 10 years before her wedding for 150,000 won.

Photographer Kim Tae-eun revealed, "When we shot last time, it had turned yellow," to which Lee Hyori humorously admitted, "Especially under the arms."

Recently, fans asked her why she doesn't wear smoky makeup anymore. Lee Hyori explained, "I don't wear dark shades now. It highlights the unevenness and asymmetry of my eyes," humorously adding, "You guys don't understand. I want to do smoky makeup too."

Recalling a past cosmetics ad shoot in Canada with Jessica Alba, Lee Hyori expressed gratitude, "Jessica Alba was amazing. I was nervous about looking bad, but makeup artist Jung Saem Mool made me look so beautiful, boosting my confidence for the shoot."

While reviewing various artists' work, Lee Hyori advised junior artists, "Don't get irritated on set. Once the atmosphere turns sour, nothing benefits me. Turn it into laughter and think about changing the situation."
