Kwon Sang-woo Shares Health Update Post-Liver Surgery on YouTube
On November 1st, the YouTube channel 'Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young' released a video titled 'What Son Tae-young, 5 Years in America, Eats When Missing Korea (A Must-Try in Fall)'.
In the video, Kwon Sang-woo and Son Tae-young enjoyed instant tteokbokki at a restaurant run by a Japanese chef. Kwon confessed, "I ate a lot yesterday and felt nauseous while running," to which Son Tae-young revealed, "He has a big appetite."
While discussing food, they mentioned, "Son Tae-young watches Tzuyang's YouTube channel a lot," and Kwon humorously added, "I've watched so many videos that if I saw Tzuyang, I'd probably recognize her," eliciting laughter.
When Son Tae-young mentioned Tzuyang's stomach size, Kwon referenced his liver surgery, saying, "Your man has a big liver. That's why I had it cut." He continued, "My liver grew back. It usually takes two months, but mine grew back in a month. Maybe I'm brave," he joked.
Previously, Kwon revealed that he underwent surgery to remove a liver hemangioma while his wife was away. Despite having a palm-sized portion of his liver removed, doctors noted, "Mr. Kwon has a large liver. Even after removing 30%, it's still the size of an average person's liver."
Kwon Sang-woo and Son Tae-young also shared a proud parent moment. They revealed that their son, Rook-hee, received an offer to join the school's track team from his coach and seniors. "The track team winner runs 100 meters in 11.2-3 seconds, and Rook-hee runs it in 11.4 seconds. He was even told by an opposing coach, 'We need a fast runner like you on our team,'" they proudly shared.
Meanwhile, Son Tae-young and Kwon Sang-woo, who married in 2008, have a son and a daughter.
