German Woman Apologizes for Spreading AI-Generated Rumors About Actor Lee Yi-kyung
On the 19th, a German woman, referred to as Ms. A, who had previously spread rumors about actor Lee Yi-kyung's private life, issued an apology just two days later, admitting to using AI-generated images.

On the 21st, Ms. A took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to address the situation, saying, "Hello, Korean people. Recently, I posted various photos related to actor Lee Yi-kyung, which started as a joke, and I didn't expect it to gain so much attention."

She continued, "As I kept writing and using AI images, I began to believe it myself. What started as a fan's admiration turned into emotional involvement. I sincerely apologize to actor Lee Yi-kyung for spreading malicious rumors."

Ms. A expressed her remorse, stating, "I feel guilty. If there's any responsibility I need to take, I will. Please understand that my sentences might be awkward as I am German."

Previously, on the 19th, Ms. A claimed to have exchanged explicit messages with Lee Yi-kyung and posted an article titled 'Revealing the True Side of Lee Yi-kyung' on her blog. The post quickly spread across X, containing inappropriate content allegedly involving Lee Yi-kyung asking about Ms. A's body measurements and requesting explicit photos.

As the situation escalated, Ms. A deleted her post. However, Lee Yi-kyung's agency announced plans for legal action against her, revealing that Ms. A had previously demanded money from Lee Yi-kyung about five months ago. In response, Ms. A posted again on the 21st, claiming, "Last year, I was short on money and asked if I could borrow 500,000 won. I intended to repay it. I haven't asked for money since."

Ms. A also mentioned, "I am trying to gather evidence. Please wait a little longer," but abruptly changed her stance and apologized the next day.

Meanwhile, Lee Yi-kyung's agency, Sangyoung ENT, announced on their official social media account, "We are preparing legal action for damages caused by the spread of false information and malicious rumors. We plan to take all necessary measures based on the severity of the situation and the direct and indirect damages incurred."
