Former Rhythmic Gymnast Son Yeon-jae Enjoys Luxurious Hotel Staycation

Former rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae recently indulged in a luxurious hotel staycation.

On the 20th, Son Yeon-jae's YouTube channel featured a video titled 'VLOG Don't Look for Me... A Dreamy Night Out for Yeon-jae'.

In the video, Son Yeon-jae revealed that she visited a five-star hotel in Gwanghwamun for a solo staycation, stating, "I haven't stayed alone in a hotel for three years. During my national team days, I stayed in hotels often, but not since then."

Standing in front of a suite room costing over 2 million won per night, Son Yeon-jae expressed gratitude to her husband and humorously remarked, "I shouldn't enjoy it too much. Moderately," bringing a smile to viewers.

Son Yeon-jae shared, "He gave me a card saying, 'Take some time off from daily life and parenting to relax,'" showing her appreciation. During a 'What's in My Bag' segment, she revealed, "I always carry a hairline cover essential item because I'm worried my hair might look sparse," catching attention.

Having been a rhythmic gymnast since childhood, she mentioned, "Even after retirement, I've done many things, but after marriage, I have a new bucket list." She recalled that during her athlete days, her idea of a break was heating up pizza at 4 a.m. after returning from the Olympics.

Son Yeon-jae noted, "My bucket list in my 20s and now in my 30s has changed a lot," adding, "I want to travel to Jordan and go on an African safari with my husband. Maybe when the kids go to college, we can do it."

Son Yeon-jae, who doesn't like looking back at her past self, said, "My appearance from 10 years ago is so outdated. I haven't even watched my 'Infinite Challenge' appearance," and she recently checked the comments. Reflecting on her past, she said, "I would advise 19-year-old Yeon-jae to take it easy," expressing satisfaction with her current life after marriage and childbirth.

Exploring Seochon alone, Son Yeon-jae tried various foods and challenged herself to take four-cut photos alone. Immersed in games in her hotel room, she ordered lobster pasta and chicken as room service, fully enjoying her solo staycation.

After a sweet rest, she returned to parenting, mentioning, "My husband came to pick me up," showcasing their sweet marital bond. Son Yeon-jae married a financial industry professional nine years her senior in 2022 and has a son.

Meanwhile, Son Yeon-jae recently faced controversy over 'flaunting wealth' after showcasing expensive items like a 460,000 won hairpin and watches and jewelry worth over 10 million won on YouTube.
