Ji Ye-eun's Hiatus Extended Due to Thyroid Treatment

On the 14th, a media outlet reported exclusively that Ji Ye-eun is undergoing treatment for a thyroid condition.
According to the report, a source revealed, "Ji Ye-eun noticed health issues while actively working and visited a hospital, where she discovered a thyroid dysfunction, leading to a temporary halt in her activities."
The source added, "Ji Ye-eun has significantly recovered with sufficient rest and medication. Although the exact timing is uncertain, she plans to resume her activities after focusing on her treatment."
Yoo Jae-suk also mentioned on a recent episode of 'Running Man' that "Ye-eun is currently undergoing treatment. It was widely speculated as burnout, but that's not the case. She's taking a break due to necessary treatment following a health check-up."
The thyroid is a crucial gland for metabolism-related hormone secretion, requiring careful management. However, it often lacks early symptoms, making it difficult to detect. Ji Ye-eun reportedly first visited the hospital due to persistent fatigue and decreased condition.
Previously, on August 26th, it was announced that Ji Ye-eun would take a break until October. She was advised to take a short hiatus after visiting the hospital due to health concerns.
At that time, a media outlet quoted an entertainment industry insider saying, "Ji Ye-eun needs a brief rest period. After discussing with her doctor, she plans to rest for over three weeks from September to October."
Meanwhile, Ji Ye-eun rose to stardom on 'SNL Korea' with her catchphrase "Calm down." She has since showcased her unique charm and cuteness on various entertainment shows, including 'Running Man' and Coupang Play's 'Office Workers.' She is also active as a model for financial, sports, health food, and beauty brands.
