On September 30, the official eyesmag Instagram account shared a video of Hyun Bin with the caption, "A man who only makes hand hearts with Yejin-hand... The perfect 'heart defense' man Hyun Bin, even with wit."
In the video, Hyun Bin appeared at the VIP premiere photo wall for the movie 'Boss' (directed by Ra Hee-chan) held in Seoul. A fan at the event formed half a heart with their hand, hoping Hyun Bin would complete it, but he responded with a handshake instead.
Netizens reacted with comments like "He only makes hand hearts for Son Ye-jin," "The epitome of a married man," "Ri Jeong-hyeok and Yoon Se-ri forever," and "A must-watch for married men worldwide." Some speculated that Hyun Bin might not have understood the fan's intention, saying, "He might have thought they wanted a handshake," or "He might have thought it was a new handshake style."
As the video gained attention, Son Ye-jin herself commented with a sunglasses emoji and a thumbs-up emoji, responding to Hyun Bin's 'heart defense' video.
Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, both born in 1982, got married in 2022 and welcomed a son the same year. The couple has consistently supported each other's work by attending VIP premieres. Last month, Hyun Bin attended the VIP premiere of Son Ye-jin's comeback film 'Inevitably,' and Son Ye-jin showed her unwavering support by attending the premiere of Hyun Bin's film 'Harbin' in December last year.
