Sunmi Opens Up About 'Celebrity Syndrome' and Cherished Memories with Wonder Girls

During the show, Jang Do-yeon expressed admiration for Sunmi's enduring pure charm, even after 19 years in the industry.
Sunmi confessed, "I went through a phase in my early to mid-20s where I was quite conceited," referring to her 'celebrity syndrome'. She elaborated, "It was around my 5th or 6th year after debuting, and I thought, 'I'm a senior, I've been doing this for a long time, I'm Sunmi, from Wonder Girls.'"

Although Sunmi recently missed the 'Wonder Girls reunion' due to scheduling conflicts, she emphasized her ongoing connection with the members, saying, "I frequently keep in touch with them." She added, "I filmed with Yubin for her YouTube channel, attended Sunye's musical, watched Sohee's play, and posted about Hyerim's book on Instagram," showcasing their enduring friendship.
Sunmi mentioned that when the members gather, they often reminisce about their time in the U.S., saying, "Even when we meet with JYP, we talk about those days. We share stories about cooking ramen on the tour bus during 17-hour rides."

On a personal note, Sunmi also shared her honest thoughts on dating, revealing, "I'm 34 this year, and I can count my dating experiences on one hand." She added, "I like people who are mentally healthy and wholesome. If I like someone, I confess first."
