Rosé Nominated for Eight Categories at 2025 MTV Video Music Awards

The MTV VMAs, organized by the American music channel MTV, are considered one of the four major music award ceremonies in the United States, alongside the Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and American Music Awards.

In the 'Best K-Pop' category, Rosé's 'toxic till the end' is up against aespa's 'Whiplash,' BLACKPINK Jennie's 'like JENNIE,' BTS Jimin's 'Who,' BLACKPINK Jisoo's 'earthquake,' BLACKPINK Lisa's 'Born Again,' and Stray Kids' 'Chk Chk Boom.' The 'Best Group' nominees include aespa, BLACKPINK, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, and CAT'S EYE.
Rosé's nomination for 'Video of the Year' marks the first time a K-pop artist has been considered for this category. Leading the pack in nominations this year are Lady Gaga with 12, Bruno Mars with 11, Kendrick Lamar with 10, Sabrina Carpenter with 8, and both Ariana Grande and The Weeknd with 7 each. Rosé expressed her excitement on social media, saying, “I’m so shocked I don’t know what to say. This is unbelievable! Wow! I’m really, really freaking out! What is happening?!”
Meanwhile, Lee Jae, Ray Ami, and Audrey Nuna, who performed songs for the Netflix animation 'K-Pop Demon Hunters,' will take the stage as presenters. The global girl group CAT'S EYE, a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records, is nominated for 'MTV Push Performance of the Year' and will perform during the pre-show.
The VMA ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS and MTV, with streaming available on Paramount Plus.
