K-Pop Star G.NA Breaks Silence After Years, Hints at Comeback
G.NA, a solo artist who was active in South Korea from 2010 for about six years, has spoken out for the first time since being embroiled in a prostitution scandal.

On October 2, G.NA posted a lengthy message in English on her Instagram. In the post, she began by saying, "I have been silent for years. During my time in the Korean entertainment industry, I had experiences that deeply changed me."

She continued, "The most painful part was not what happened, but the silence. I disappeared to survive. I am no longer a scared little girl. I am defined by what I choose, not my past. I have healed, grown, and am finding my voice again."

G.NA expressed gratitude to her fans, saying, "I sincerely thank the fans who believe in me. I understand those who left," and added a cryptic message hinting at a comeback, "To those who remain silent in shame, your story isn't over yet. It's been a while."

Previously, on September 28, G.NA updated her Instagram for the first time in about 15 months since May 26, 2022, with the message, "Hello, it’s been awhile.☺️"

Over the years, G.NA has sporadically updated her social media in 2017, 2021, and 2023. This is her first lengthy post in eight years.

G.NA debuted in 2010 with the digital single "What I Want to Do Once I Have a Lover" and gained popularity with hits like "I'll Back Off So You Can Live Better," "Black & White," and "Top Girl." However, in 2016, she was involved in a prostitution case and received a fine, after which she abruptly left for the United States.

At the time, G.NA was convicted of prostitution after meeting someone on a friend's recommendation. She later commented, "I acknowledge the law, but it's hard to accept that my actions were prostitution."
