Comedian Lee Soo-geun Opens Father’s Funeral to Public Condolences

Comedian Lee Soo-geun, aged 50, is receiving condolences following the passing of his father.

On the 6th, Lee's agency, Big Planet Made, announced, "After receiving numerous inquiries about offering condolences, we have decided, in consultation with the bereaved family, to accept them. We deeply appreciate everyone who is mourning the deceased."

Lee Soo-geun's father, the late Lee Moo-jae, passed away on the 5th due to a chronic illness at the age of 81. The funeral is being held in Room 35 at the Seoul Asan Medical Center Funeral Hall, with the burial scheduled for the 7th at the Seoul National Cemetery.

Initially, the family planned to hold a quiet funeral with only close family and friends, but due to the overwhelming number of condolence inquiries, they decided to open the funeral to the public.

Meanwhile, Lee Soo-geun married Park Ji-yeon in 2008, and they have two sons. He is currently appearing on JTBC's 'Knowing Bros' and KBS Joy's 'Ask Us Anything'.
