Rapper Sik-K Pleads for Leniency Amid Drug Charges
Rapper Sik-K (Kwon Min-sik, 32) has appealed for leniency in his ongoing drug-related legal case.

During the first appeal trial held on the 2nd at the Seoul Western District Court, the prosecution maintained its original demand for a 3-year and 6-month prison sentence. In the initial trial last year, Sik-K was sentenced to 10 months in prison, suspended for 2 years, along with probation and mandatory drug treatment lectures.

Sik-K's attorney argued, "He has been diligently abstaining from drugs for two years through various methods, and the likelihood of reoffending is low." The attorney also emphasized, "He voluntarily confessed to his crimes to the authorities, which should be taken into account. The original sentence should not be considered lenient."

In January of last year, Sik-K approached a police officer near Yongsan District in Seoul, asking, "Is this a police station?" and turned himself in. Investigations revealed charges of using ketamine and ecstasy in October 2023, and marijuana use and possession in January 2024.

The appeal verdict is scheduled for 10 a.m. on the 30th.
